Mustapha Lamido, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate in Jigawa state, has picked the state party chairman, Babandi Ibrahim Gumel, as his running mate for the 2023 governorship poll.

DAILY REPORT NG reports that Mustapha, a son of Sule Lamido, a former Governor of Jigawa State, emerged as the party’s flag bearer.

According to a statement signed by Mansur Ahmed, a new media aide to Dr. Sule Lamido, PDP stakeholders approved Hon. Babandi Ibrahim Gumel as Lamido’s running mate for his effort towards the development of the party.
