Barcelona forward Joao Felix recently shared his thoughts on the long-standing debate over who is the Greatest Player Of All Time (GOAT) between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The rivalry between these football icons dates back to the late 2000s, with the duo amassing an astonishing total of 13 Ballon d’Or trophies between them.
The continuous success of Messi and Ronaldo on the field has naturally sparked comparisons, some of which have been fueled by the players themselves.
However, when asked to weigh in on the debate during a Twitch conversation with Bojan Krkic, Joao Felix expressed his belief that it’s not fair to compare Messi and Ronaldo. He emphasized the difficulty in choosing one over the other, suggesting that both players deserve recognition for their unparalleled contributions to the sport.
“Messi and Cristiano should not be compared. You should enjoy them,” the former Chelsea star said.
“Choosing one of them is very difficult. They both did very good things that will not be repeated.”
