In a recent interview with media personality Vivz, popular singer Joseph Akinfenwaa Donus, known as Joeboy, shared the inspiration behind his hit song “Better.” He revealed that the song was written to raise awareness about domestic violence against women.

Joeboy noted that women in African society are often not treated properly. Vivz mentioned that “Better” is her favorite song, noting how it seems to advocate for women who have been mistreated by men.

Joeboy explained, “Domestic abuse is something that happens a lot in African society. Women are sometimes maltreated and not treated properly. I wanted to shed light on domestic violence against women.”
