The GbaramatuVoice newspaper has announced that Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, former president Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State will be among dignitaries expected at its forthcoming 6th Anniversary Lecture/Niger Delta Awards.

The event is slated for Tuesday, August 10, 2021, by 10:00am, at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

This was contained in a recent statement personally signed by Jacob Abai, the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer and made available to newsmen in Lagos.

According to the statement, the anniversary/lecture has its central theme dubbed: “Dwindling State of Crude Oil Demand in the Global Market: The Way Forward.”

The Executive Governors of Bayelsa and Delta states, Senator Douye Diri, will be the Host, while Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, will Chair the Occasion.

Other dignitaries expected at the lecture/award giving ceremony include but not limited to; traditional rulers from the Niger Delta, captain of industries within and outside the country, executives of International Oil Companies (IOCs) operating in the country, public office holders from the Niger Delta region, leaders of specialized groups in Nigeria, among others.

Abai stated further that the anniversary/lecture will centre on critical new research themes as sustainable development goals in the Niger Delta. Its deliberations will address all spectra of analyses including the oil and gas industry.

He noted that the present event billed for Eko Hotels and Suites, is the 3rd in the series and comes after similar ones held at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, Rivers States, respectively.

It has a rich history of promoting national unity, recognizing the good works of various individuals that have positively imprinted their names in various areas of endeavors while contributing to the life chances of humanity.

List of eminent Awardees made up of Nigerians and Non-Nigerians drawn from different sectors of human endeavors through rigorous but transparent process shall be made known to the general public in due course.
