Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, made the disclosure of the development.
According to Romano, the deal was signed and sealed after the 19-year-old completed his medical in London.
Meanwhile, an official announcement of the former Jong Ajax star is expected to follow in no distant time.
Signed in the 2022-2023 season, Hato became a regular starter and important player for Ajax at the beginning of the 2023–24 season.
The Dutch professional player will bolster the Blues’ defence as he is a versatile player who can play many positions including right back and centre back.
