He scored a game-high 33 points and Nigeria controlled the contest from the opening whistle.
Nigeria opened with a 10–0 surge and closed the first quarter 29–16.
By halftime Okogie had 19 and the D’Tigers led 48–33.
In the third quarter, Nigeria extended the margin and took a 68–47 lead into the final period.
Okogie attacked decisively, hitting high-percentage shots, drawing fouls and forcing close attention from Tunisia’s defence.
Tunisia, still reeling from Cameroon defeat, lacked firepower without key veterans and could not match D’Tigers’ physical defence and fast breaks.
With the victory, D’Tigers moved up to 2-0 in Group B and advanced to Sunday’s winner-take-all match against Cameroon, which is expected to determine group dominance and have an impact on quarterfinal seeding.
