Men of the Nasarawa state police command have arrested a suspected gunrunner in the state.

The suspect was arrested with over 400 rounds of ammunitions and allegedly en-route to a bandits hideout.
Operatives of the Nasarawa state police command have arrested one Fatima Salisu, a 21-year-old gun runner in the state.
The suspect, who is from Funtua in Katsina State was said to have been transporting ammunitions to terrorists and bandits.

Fatima was arrested in the Azuba area of Lafia while transporting the ammunition through Keana and Doma Local Government Areas.
“Acting on credible intelligence, the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima J. Mohammed, ordered the immediate deployment of the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit,” Nansel said.
The suspect was arrested with 481 rounds of live ammunition—400 rounds of 7.62x39mm and 81 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition.
Fatima has been taken into custody, as investigation continues.

Kidnappers Hold APC Chairman, Ransom Bearers, Demand N30m After Collecting N5m
Kidnappers have detained two men who delivered a N5 million ransom for the release of APC Ward 5 Chairman, Nelson Adepoyigi, in Ose LGA, Ondo State.
The abductors are now demanding an increased ransom of N30 million to free both the chairman and the two ransom bearers.
