A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Afam Osigwe, has been elected as the new President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in a landslide victory, securing 20,395 votes in the 2024 NBA election.
The election, which was held online and monitored by our correspondent, saw Osigwe defeat his closest rivals, Tobenna Erojikwe and Chukwuka Ikwuazom (SAN), who garnered 10,970 and 9,007 votes respectively.
Osigwe is set to succeed the outgoing president, Yakubu Maikyau (SAN).

The election results were presented live on the NBA website, with Osigwe emerging as the clear winner.
