A group of bandits have reportedly stormed a primary healthcare centre in Kaduna State, Kidnapping nurses and patients.

It was reported that on Monday morning, September 9, 2024, a group of bandits stormed the facility in Kuyallo, Birnin-Gwari LGA, abducting two nurses and an unspecified number of patients.

According to eyewitnesses, the bandits initially targeted the nearby Government Day Secondary School, arriving at around 9:00 am. However, upon finding the school empty, they turned their attention to the nearby health centre.

One Musa Alhassan, a local vigilante, described the scene: “The bandits came to the school asking about the students, but when they found out it was empty, they headed to the healthcare centre and started kidnapping people.”

When contacted by newsmen, Kaduna police spokesperson Mansir Hassan claimed he was unaware of the incident, saying, “I will get back to you.”

Notably, the latest attack is part of a disturbing trend of gunmen attacks and abductions in Kaduna State.

Just last Thursday, 15 people, including nursing mothers and children, were kidnapped in Mani village, Chikun LGA.
