The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has issued a wanted notice for Andrew Wynne, a British national, accused of masterminding a plot to topple President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Wynne, named alongside Nigerian national Ehis Obinyan, is alleged to have built a network of sleeper cells aimed at plunging the country into chaos.
According to Muyiwa Adejobi, force spokesperson, Wynne rented a space at the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) headquarters in Abuja, operating under the guise of “Iva Valley Bookshop” and “STARS of Nations Schools”.
Adejobi stated that documentary evidence and confessions revealed Wynne’s involvement in issuing directives, monitoring progress, and providing financial and operational guidance for unconstitutional regime change in Nigeria.

Wynne is accused of mobilizing billions of naira to his Nigerian collaborators, urging them to violently storm police facilities and military barracks, with the intention of instigating international condemnation of the Nigerian government.
These actions are deemed a clear violation of the Terrorism (Prevention) Act 2011 and other relevant laws.
Adejobi confirmed that Wynne has fled the country since investigations began and has been placed on global surveillance. A global hunt is underway for Wynne and his local coordinator, Lucky Ehis Obiyan, in connection with this investigation.
