At Friday’s proceedings, Malami, his son Abdulaziz, and his wife Asabe pleaded not guilty.

Justice Joyce Abdulmalik held that previous proceedings cease to have legal effect when a matter is reassigned, directing the defence to file a fresh bail application.

The court adjourned the case until March 6 for the hearing of the bail application and commencement of trial, remanding Malami and his son at the Kuje Correctional Centre and his wife at the Suleja Correctional Centre.
