JUST IN: Court Sentence Herdsman, Others To Death, See Why

An high court sitting in Ede, Osun State has sentenced a herdsman to death for the alleged kidnap and murder of his father.

The accused, a middle-aged herdsman identified as Issa Ibrahim, alongside his accomplices – Lateef Bello, Abdulrahman Soliu, Bello Ibrahim, and Jolaanabi Saheed (alongside the mother of Jolaanabi – Ajibola Shared) were arraigned in court on October 28th, 2021, on four xoubts of conspiracy, mjrder abd kidnapping of Issa’s father – Adamu Ibrahim, over inheritance. They however pleaded not guilty to the alleged offences, TVC reported.

Countering them, the defence counsel from the Osun State Ministry of Justice, Assistant Director Moses Faremi, tendered many evidence against them, including a stool, which was recovered from Jolaanabi’s house, where the deceased was kept at Owode-Ede after he was kidnapped on April 17th 2017.

He also invited three witnesses: two sons of the deceased and a police officer.
