The victims were reportedly rescued following a gun duel between the police and the kidnappers.
Men of the Taraba state police command have reached three victims from the claws of kidnappers in the state.
It was gathered that the police had gotten wind of the incident following a distress call, and subsequently dispatch officers who collaborated with vigilante group ho go after the Kidnappers.

According to a report from the state police PRO, Abdullahi Usman, in a statement released on Sunday, December 8, the assailants engaged the police in a fierce gun battle in Sibre village, Ardo-Kola Local Government Council of the state.
“The pursuit culminated in a confrontation at Dutse Mubayu near the Kona Mountains, where the kidnappers engaged the security team in a gun battle,” the statement read.
“Overpowered by the superior firepower of the police and vigilantes, the kidnappers abandoned their victims and fled.”
The rescued victims are identified as: Idris Adamu, 40, Umar Usman, 22, and Ibrahim Usman, 17, and have been reunited with their families.

While commending the work of the police and the vigilante group, the commissioner of police, Ukachi P. Opara also charged the police to make efforts in apprehending the fleeing suspects.
