The House of representative have unanimously passed a tax bill.

The Reps approved four tax reform bills, and is currently awaiting the approval of the president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

 

This comes after the bill was carefully scrutinized by the House committee on Finance, in parts like Value Added Tax and Inheritance tax on Thursday.

The bills were sent by the president to the National Assembly in October 2024.

The bills led to lots of controversial opinions by the Northern leaders, and other groups, who opposed some sections of the bill.
