Kebbi State Police command has rescued two out of the abducted students of Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, Kebbi state.

The students regained their freedom durring a rescue mission by the police authorities in a forest of Dansadau District, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

SP Mohammed Shehu who is the Spokesman of the Zamfara State Police Command, confirmed this on Sunday to newsmen in Gusau.

This is coming about six weeks after suspected bandits attacked the school, killing a police officer and abducting an unknown number of students and four teachers.

It is not yet ascertained if ransom was paid to secure the release of the students.
