Meta, owners of popular social media platform, Whatsapp, have announced the release of new privacy features.
The features were announced by Meta’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, who said the move is to further protect users of WhatsApp.
In a statement on his official page on Facebook, Zuckerberg said the new features will allow user exit groups without notice, among others.

“New privacy features coming to WhatsApp: exit group chats without notifying everyone, control who can see when you’re online, and prevent screenshots on view once messages.”
The billionaire said the messaging app would continue “building new ways to protect your messages and keep them as private and secure as face-to-face conversations.”
WhatsApp had just recently increased the number of users allowed to join a Group Chat from 256 to 512.
