Police Arrest 'Ghost' in Adamawa

In a bold operation, the Kaduna police command has struck a blow against criminal networks, apprehending two cattle rustlers, two notorious gunrunners, and three alleged kidnappers.

The successful raid, carried out on Thursday, was made possible by credible intelligence and swift action from the police operatives.

In the first operation, police busted a hideout used by a notorious syndicate involved in cattle rustling in the Kasuwa Magani area of Kujama, Kaduna.

Two suspects, Aminu Saleh and Jafar Ibrahim, were caught and confessed to their crimes, revealing that they were part of a larger syndicate with four other members still at large.

In a separate incident, a resident, Shafiu Abdullahi, reported receiving threatening phone calls demanding a ransom of N10 million.

The police sprang into action, using advanced techniques to track and apprehend the suspects.

Three suspects, Umar Baso, Shehu Filani, and Babangida Abdulkarim, were detained and confessed to their involvement in the kidnapping plot.

Furthermore, on Saturday, the police arrested two suspects, Dahiru Liman and Sani Abdullahi Makeri, who were supplying arms and ammunition to kidnappers operating in Kaduna, Katsina, and Zamfara states.

One fabricated AK-47 rifle and five rounds of live ammunition were recovered during the operation. The suspects confessed to their crimes and their long-term involvement in other illegal activities.

The police commissioner, Audu Dabigi, commended the operatives for their bravery and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.

Dabigi reassured the residents that the command is committed to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
