Tottenham striker, Harry Kane has become England’s all-time leading scorer after sweeping away Wayne Rooney’s record on Thursday.
Before the game, Kane was tied with Wayne Rooney on 53 goals.
However, the England captain scored his record-breaking goal from the penalty spot shortly before half-time in Naples after the ball was handled inside the box by the defender Giovanni Di Lorenzo, and spotted by the VAR.

The goal means Kane has now scored 54 goals in just 81 appearance for the Three Lions to overtake Rooney’s 53 goals in 120 appearances.
Before now, Kane had overtaken the likes of Bobby Charlton (49 goals in 106 appearances), Gary Lineker (48 goals in 80 appearances), and Jimmy Greaves (44 goals in just 57 appearances ), who completes the top five goal scorers for the Three Lions.
