A Kano State High Court has reaffirmed an interim order preventing Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, from renovating the Nassarawa mini palace.

The decision, made by Chief Judge Justice Dije Aboki, extends the earlier order issued on September 13, pending further court proceedings.

The Kano State Government, along with two other applicants, filed the motion to stop any renovations at the palace, asserting legal grounds for the restriction.

During the recent court session, the applicant’s counsel noted that Bayero had not filed any response or representation.

Justice Aboki subsequently reassigned the case to another division of the High Court, as judges had returned from their annual vacation. A hearing notice is to be served on the Emir to ensure his presence in future proceedings.
