In the ongoing Kano emirate tussle, a significant development has emerged as the traditional and official flags of the emir have been hoisted at the Nassarawa mini palace, currently occupied by the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.

The flags, symbolizing the presence and authority of the emir, were raised at 6 am on Thursday, signifying Bayero’s claim to the throne.

Meanwhile, the two rival emirs, Bayero and Muhammadu Sanusi II, continue to observe and exercise traditional rites in their respective palaces, each maintaining their grip on the disputed Kano Emirate throne.
