Kano Fires Four Officials for Forgery, Sale of Landed Properties

Kano State Government announced the sack of four employees of the state Bureau of Land Management for forging documents, selling public lands, issuing false information, and falsifying official records.

According to a statement issued by Muhammad Garba, Commissioner for Information, the dismissed officers are Abdulmuminu Usman Magami, Senior Survey Assistant on Salary Grade Level 06; Abdullahi Nuhu Idris, Senior Land Officer on Salary Grade Level 10; Audu Abba Aliyu, Press Attendant on Salary Grade Level 05; and Baba Audu, Assistant Chief Land Officer on Salary Grade Level 13.

According to him, officials were fired based on the recommendation of a government-created investigative committee that investigated complaints filed against them and found them guilty of the offenses.

He explained that their dismissal was carried out in accordance with Civil Service Rule No.04406, and that the decision was intended to serve as a deterrent to others.

The commissioner warned that any misconduct by a civil servant would not be tolerated by the state government.

The statement cautioned all government employees to carry out their duties honestly, diligently, and effectively, in accordance with civil service rules and regulations.
