Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, inaugurated 44 newly elected local government chairmen from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) on Sunday, heralding the recent elections as the “most peaceful” in the state’s history.

The event took place at the Africa House, Government House, Kano, with Yusuf’s Deputy representing him.

In his address, Governor Yusuf commended the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) for conducting a transparent election, despite challenges from politicians attempting to disrupt the process.
