The Kano State Government has cautioned supporters of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to desist from making insulting or provocative comments against the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The warning was issued on Saturday by the Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, during the distribution of motorcycles to party members at the Open Space Theatre within the Government House.

Governor Yusuf was present at the event.
Bature said the government would not tolerate any form of disrespect or indiscipline directed at Kwankwaso, stressing that the former governor’s contributions to Kano’s political development remain significant despite recent political changes in the state.
He warned that any supporter found engaging in abusive or inflammatory remarks against the Kwankwasiyya leader would face appropriate sanctions, adding that such conduct would not be condoned.
The government spokesperson urged supporters of Governor Yusuf to exercise restraint and demonstrate political maturity, particularly amid heightened tensions following recent political realignments.
According to him, the Yusuf administration is committed to maintaining peace and unity among its supporters, warning that political disagreements should not be allowed to degenerate into personal attacks.
Bature further reminded party members that respect for leadership and internal discipline are crucial for political stability and effective governance.
