The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 20 individuals, comprising both males and females for bathing together at a local leisure center.
The arrest was made by the Operation Kau Da Badala team, following complaints from nearby residents who were disturbed by the incident.
Dr Mujahidin Aminuddin Abubakar, the Deputy Commandant General of the board, confirmed the arrests and stated that the act contravened the Hisbah law, which prohibited the mingling of genders in water for bathing purposes.
