There was a gun battle on Thursday between police in Kastina State and Bandits around Yasore, Batsari Local Government Area of the state.
During combat police said it neutralised two bandits and recovered weapons
Police spokesman Gambo Isah disclosed this to reporters in Katsina.

According to Isah, the terrorists in their numbers shot sporadically with AK-47 rifles, attacked Yasore village at about 07:30 a.m. on Thursday.
On knowing this, Ishah said the DPO Batsari led a combined team of police and vigilante groups to the area and engaged them in a fierce gun duel, and successfully repelled them.
Thereafter, the spokesman said the team recovered two corpses of neutralised terrorists, two AK 47 rifles and five magazines, 97 pieces of 7.62mm ammunition of AK 47 rifles.
He said other items recovered were two Itel mobile phones, a bunch of charms, a black bag containing N2,580, a lighter, a pen and a blue veil.
He said:
“Many of the terrorists were believed to have been neutralised and/or escaped the scene with gunshot wounds.
“Search parties are still combing the nearest bushes with a view to arresting them and/or recovering their dead bodies.”
Gambo hence advised communities around the area to report to the nearest police station any person found or seen with a suspected gunshot injury.
