Kebbi Assembly impeaches Speaker, Deputy
The Kebbi House of Assembly on Tuesday impeached its Speaker, Abdulmumeen Kamba, and the Deputy Speaker, Alhaji Muhammad Buhari-Aleiro.
Alhaji Muhammad Tukur, Chairman House Committee on Information and Culture, announced their impeachment shortly after a closed-door plenary.

According to Tukur, the speaker was replaced immediately with the Deputy Chief Whip, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar-Lolo (APC-Bagudo West) while the deputy speaker was replaced by Alhaji Muhammad Ankwai (APC- Zuru).
Twenty out of a possible 24 members of the Kebbi House of Assembly attended the plenary session.
“These included, the Chief Whip, the House Leader and the Deputy House Leader, among other 20 members,” Tukur said.
