Kidnapped Air Vice-Marshal Siriku Smith Regains Freedom

Gunmen Kidnap Air Vice Marshal Sikiru Smith in Lagos | Daily Report Nigeria

Retired Air Vice-Marshal Sikiru Smith, who was abducted by unknown gunmen has been released.

Mr. Siriku Smith was kidnapped at gunpoint by daredevil attackers on September 27, 2021, in Ajah, Lagos State.

He was whisked away in a waiting speedboat while inspecting a site on Monday last week.

However, Siriku Smith was released on Saturday, October 2, 2021.

His release was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu.

According to CSP Adekunle, Mr Siriku Smith was set free in the early hours of Saturday.

However, the PPRO refused to give further details on his released.

Meanwhile, a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport in Niger State has been kidnapped alongside his granddaughter.
