Some suspected kidnappers have abducted a 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Christiana Idowu, along the Ikorodu-Yaba Road in Lagos.

The abductors are demanding a ransom of N3 million before they can release the student.

According to a family source, Christiana had left her home in Ikorodu to observe her industrial training at the University of Lagos in Yaba when she was abducted.

The source disclosed that the abductors have been communicating with the family through Christiana’s WhatsApp and initially demanded N3 million as ransom.

After several appeals, they reduced the amount to N1 million, then N500,000, and finally N350,000.

The family paid the N350,000, but the abductors refused to release Christiana, demanding that they send the bank statement of the account they used for the transfer.
