A good Samaritan (man) has been reportedly shot dead along the Maitama area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja while trying to rescue someone from being kidnapped by abductors.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Wednesday evening.
According to eyewitnesses, the man was killed by suspected kidnappers who invaded Gana Street.

It was said that the kidnappers had tried to force a man into a vehicle when the yet-to-be-properly-identified man came to his rescue and was eventually shot dead on the spot.
They, (kidnappers) however, abducted their target, according to reports.
The spokesperson of the FCT Police command, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the development.
She added that security operatives were on a manhunt for the culprits to ensure they were brought to book.
