Barca started the day second in La Liga and have now won six and drawn one of their seven games.

Victory puts them above Real Madrid, who have a 100% record from six games and will return to the top if they beat Osasuna at home on Sunday.

After scoring, Lewandowski had a chance to score another goal but was saved by home goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic.

Barcelona next Tuesday in the important Champions League match in Italy against Inter Milan, where both teams have a win and a win in their first match in the competition.
