A trending video circulating online has captured the moment a woman was apprehended in Port Harcourt for allegedly stealing human hair and selling it to cyber fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo boys.
In the footage, the suspect was seen handcuffed as she openly confessed that the act was not her first time. According to her, she had carried out similar activities in different parts of the state, including Rumuokoro and Rumuola.

When questioned about the proceeds, the woman disclosed that she sold the stolen hair for between ₦2,000 and ₦3,000, depending on the quantity. The hair was allegedly supplied to Yahoo boys, who are suspected to use it for money ritual-related activities.
“I have done it in several places,” the suspect said in the video, admitting that the act had become a routine operation.
As of the time of filing this report, it remains unclear whether the woman was arrested by security operatives or apprehended by members of the public, as no official statement has been released by the police.
The incident has reignited public concern over the ritual use of human hair, especially as similar cases have previously been reported involving hair picked up from barbing salons and public places.
