Lagos Club to Build Toilets at Markets, Motor Parks | Daily Report Nigeria

Lagos–Rotary Club of Omole Golden says it would provide ultra-modern toilets at major markets and parks in the state to tackle open defecation.

The just-installed 19th President of the club, Mr Ganiu Lawal, announced this development on Saturday at his investiture, and fundraising event held in Alausa, Ikeja.

Lawal added that the club has launched the rehabilitation of a block of four classrooms with collapsible demarcation to serve as classrooms and an examination hall at Ajuwon Senior High School.

He said;

We want well-meaning individuals, corporate organisations to support our proposed project for 2022-2023 rotary year, we are equipping the Rotary Club of Omole Golden Neonatal Building at Ifako Ijaiye General Hospital at N24, 755,000. We plan to provide ultra-modern public toilets at major markets and motor parks at N8, 700,000 as part of our advocacy to tackle open defecation in Lagos State.

We also plan to provide a mathematics laboratory at Oke-Ira Junior Grammar School, Ogba at N500, 000 and promote menstrual hygiene through the procurement of 3,000 dignity kits for girls in three public schools at N2, 400,000.”

The outgoing President of the club, Favour Madu, said, “Before now, we completed the beautification and landscaping oI the triangle at Isheri-Olowora junction leading to Berger-Ibadan expressway and we built a giant rotary wheel cenotaph with four-way test inscription and it was strategically mounted to create increased visibility for our great organisation.”
