The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps has arrested 14 individuals for violating environmental laws in Berger, Lagos. The offenders were caught crossing the highway without using pedestrian bridges and engaging in open defecation.

According to the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the operation is part of the state government’s efforts to maintain a clean and orderly environment in line with its “Zero Tolerance” policy. “Fourteen individuals were arrested at Berger last night for open defecation, open urination, and not using the pedestrian bridge,” Wahab said.
