Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has launched a free eye screening and eyeglass initiative for 1,000 police officers, aiming to boost their morale and show appreciation for their service. The programme, dubbed Sanwo-Olu Police Care Initiative, was held at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters.
According to Senior Special Assistant to Sanwo-Olu on Transport and Logistics, Hassan Adekoya, the governor approved the initiative to recognize the vital role police play in the state’s security architecture. “The goal is to reach 1,000 police officers with free eye screening and eyeglasses to complement what the IGP and CP Lagos have been doing,” Adekoya stated.
