“Governor Sanwo-Olu thanks the Commissioner for his services to the state and wishes him success in his future endeavours.

“The Governor warns all players in the sector to respect the law or face the consequences of any indiscretion, no matter who the perpetrators are,” the statement read in part.

Although the reason for his resignation is unknown, it may be connected to the reoccurring collapse of building in the state.

Recall that a 21 story building last year November collapsed in the state killing the owner and 44 others

Several other structures have also collapsed in the State with the most recent being the that of a seven-storey building under construction on Oba Idowu Oniru Street, Lagos.
