Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has criticized rising singer Ayo Maff for the “indecent” lyrics in his new song, ‘Last Week.’

In the song’s opening verse, Ayo Maff boasts about using Canadian Loud, a strong synthetic cannabis, at the beginning of the week and contacting his dealer by Saturday when he runs out.

SP Hundeyin expressed concern about the song’s content in a viral post on X, noting that drug abuse is a major factor leading to crime and imprisonment among youth.

SP Hundeyin wrote, “He does what on Mondays and Saturdays? Help me listen.

“Like Asa said, there is fire on the mountain and nobody seems to be on the run…

“Fact: Half of the young ones in prison today wouldn’t be there if they didn’t do drugs. Drugs is a precursor to everything bad.

“Eni a wi fun…”
