The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of five new COVID-19 cases in the country.
According to the NCDC, the figures new COVID-19 cases were recorded between February 25 to March 31.
The agency listed Rivers and Lagos as states with the latest infection record. It days Rivers has four cases, while Lagos has one.

A breakdown of the current situation report by NCDC released on Saturday, showed that a total of 266,665 confirmed cases.

According to the report, 259,951 patients have been discharged while 3,155 deaths have so far been recorded across the 36 states and the federal capital territory.
“The five new cases are reported from two states – Rivers (4) and Lagos (1), four states with zero cases reported are Abia, Kaduna, Kano, and Nasarawa,” the agency said.
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
Meanwhile, on Friday, the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) said 71,183,637 of the total eligible persons targeted have been fully vaccinated, while 11,871,959 have been partially vaccinated.
