Lagos West Senator, Olamilekan Adeola, has clinched the ticket of the All Progressives Congress ticket for Ogun West Senatorial district, Ogun State.

Adeola, popularly referred to as Yayi, polled 294 votes to defeat the incumbent Senator representing the zone, Tolu Odebiyi’s who scored zero votes.

The primary was conducted by the APC Senatorial electoral committee led by Dr Dapo Odukoya.

Odebiyi, an ally of former Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, described Yayi as a visitor, saying he was the only one in the contest.

In a similar news, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State was defeated by a lawyer, Cecilia Adams, who secured the senatorial ticket of the APC for the northern senatorial district.
