LaLiga: Hazard Architect of His Career Problem – Desgryse

Belgium legend, Marc Desgryse, has divulged the reason behind Eden Hazard’s struggle at Real Madrid.

The former Anderlecht forward revealed that the Belgium captain was the chief cause of his failure at the La Liga side.

The 56-year-old said Hazard who had successful seven years at Chelsea arrived at Real Madrid in 2019 only to have added more flesh on his first-ever training session.

Observing the overweight as the cause of the 30-year-old’s misery, Desgryse proffered remedy saying he would need to remove those extra kilos he had added.

‘The Little One’ nicknamed made the disclosure in a statement with Het Laatste Nieuws.

His statement reads:  “Incomprehensible. I still don’t understand it today. That he came to the first training with 7 kilos overweight.”

“It doesn’t matter if they were five. How do you do that? Gain five kilos in three weeks. It’s hard to understand that you start preparing like this.”

“Then he started training at the same pace as the other players, but that is not possible. First, you have to get rid of those extra kilos.”

Desgryse added: “As a result, he immediately suffered a muscle injury. And then he rejoined without having laid the foundations of a good season.”

“He seriously underestimated Real Madrid.”
