Lamido Faults Tinubu’s Loan Requests, Says APC Govt Prioritises Propaganda Over Transparency

How Goodluck Jonathan Ruined My Family, Career - Sule Lamido

Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, has launched a scathing attack on President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of deception and recklessness in the management of the nation’s finances.

Lamido, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), made the accusations while featuring on the BBC Hausa service programme ‘Gane Mini Hanya’.

Lamido faulted President Tinubu’s loan requests, saying, “If Nigerians are being told the truth, then there is nothing wrong with that, but how would you budget N30tn, generate N50tn, and then request a loan when you have a surplus of N20tn?”

Lamido also accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of prioritising propaganda over transparency, saying, “Buhari’s and Tinubu’s governments are not being transparent with Nigerians, unlike during the time when PDP was in power, where everything was transparent and open to all Nigerians.”
