A landlord has been arrested for the alleged murder of a man in Abia state.
The accused, a 75-year-old man, identified as Chief Stephen Irobunda was arrested for shooting and killing the victim, Bright Odizuru Martins, 45 in Abia state.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the incident reportedly happened in Umuodum Ohokobe Ndume, Umuahia North Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
According to reports from ABN TV, the some youths were said to have been playing football near the accused’s residence.
This infuriated him and he came out of his house with a Dane gun which he shot in the air to scare of the youths.

After scampering for safety, the youths came back to challenge him on his behavior, and the landlord was said to have fired at the victim in the stomach.
The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced de@d.
Reacting to this, the youths pounced on the suspect in an attempt to lynch him and burn down the house, but he was rescued by security agents.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Abia State Police Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka confirmed the killing, saying that investigation is ongoing at SCID
