President of the Senate, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan will today be turbaned as Magayaki of Kaiama Emirate.
According to a statement on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Ola Awoniyi, the Kaiama Emirate Council in Kwara State will honour Lawan with the chieftaincy title because of the protective roles he has played in the state.
According to him: “Lawan will be turbaned as Magayaki of Kaiama Emirate, which means the lead warrior that ensures the Emirate is protected, survives and progresses.
“This honour is being bestowed on Lawan in recognition of his support for development in the Emirate and his exemplary leadership of the Ninth Senate.”
