President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has condoled with the families of dead and injured victims of the infamous Lekki toll gate Massacre which took place on Tuesday, October 20 2020, in Lagos.

President Akufo-Addo in a Facebook post on Wednesday, appealed to Nigerians to remain calm while calling for dialogue to be employed in resolving the ongoing protests.

He revealed that he has spoken with President Muhammadu Buhari, who he claims has assured him of processes that would bring reforms in the country.

“I join all well-meaning persons in calling for calm, and the use of dialogue in resolving the #EndSARS impasse in Nigeria. I have spoken with President Buhari, who is committed to this end, and has begun the processes that will lead to reform.Violence, be it on the part of the Police or protesters, cannot be the solution. To the families who have lost their loved ones, I express my sincere condolences, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery”
