LG Polls: APC Wins All Chairmanship, Councillorship Seats in Plateau | Daily Report Nigeria

The All Progressive Congress has cleared all chairmanship and councillorship positions in the local government council elections held in Plateau state on Saturday.

This follows the announcement of results of the polls by the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission.

Chairman of the Commission, Fabian Ntung, while announcing the results in Jos, the Plateau state capital, declared candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress as winners in all the chairmanship seats across the 17 council areas.

Ntung also declared that the APC candidates won all the councillorship positions across the 325 wards in the state .

“The APC won all the 17 local government chairmanship seats, as well as the 325 councillorship seats in the state,” he said.

While seven political parties contested in the election, the Peoples Democratic Party was excluded from participating in the exercise.
