LG Polls: Burutu to Inaugurate Councillors Thursday

Burutu Council to Inaugurate Councillors Thursday

Newly elected Councillors of the Burutu Legislative Arm are billed to be inaugurated Thursday, July 18, 2024.

This was contained in a public announcement on Wednesday by Comrade Emmanuel Gesikeme Akpule.

The notice directed by Chief Julius Takeme, stated that the ceremony will commence by 10am at the Burutu Local Government Secretariat in Burutu, the Council headquarters.

The inauguration will be preceded by the handover of executive powers to Chief Takeme by the Head of Personal Management.

It read;

“I have been directed by the Chairman, Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. (Chief) Julius Takeme to inform the general public, especially indigenes of Burutu Local Government Area, that the Official Inauguration of the Burutu Legislative Arm and Handover to the Executive chairman by the HPM is as follows;

“Date: Thursday, 18th July, 2024
Venue: Burutu Local Government Council Secretariat, Burutu.
Time: 10am

Daily Report Nigeria recalls that Takeme was elected Chairman of Burutu Council in the July 13 local government polls conducted by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC).

Takeme and 24 other Council Chairmen were subsequently inaugurated on Monday July 15, 2024 by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State.
