The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Ogbe-Ijoh Ward One of Warri South West Local Government area of Delta State has expressed appreciation Gov Sheriff Oborevwori and other leaders in the Council over the emergence of Hon Sylvester Oromoni as the consensus candidate for the party ahead of the July 13, 2024 polls.

The meeting attended by leaders and stakeholders of the PDP was to further unite members of the party and celebrate the emergence of a member of the ward as the party’s candidate, as well as addressing issues arising from the recently concluded primaries.

The Warri South West PDP Chairman, Chief Favour Izoukumor, emphasized on the importance of unity, solidarity, and teamwork within the ward to secure a victory for the party’s candidates in the upcoming local government elections.

Izoukumor equally commended all the aspirants who contested for the chairmanship position for the way and manner they conducted their consultations and sued for their continuous supports for the party.

Other leaders of the party, including Chief Frank Omare – DG Special Duties Delta State, Pastor Sam Ako, Pastor Arex Akemetubo, Hon Frank Pukon Miebi, Chief Joseph Hitler and others , all addressed concerns that arose from the recently concluded chairmanship primaries and expressed gratitude to the leadership of the party.

They also echoed appreciation for Governor Oborevwori for orchestrating the primary election that produced Oromoni, who they said ‘strongly resonates’ with the entire Council.

Other fellow aspirants of Oromoni at the primary election, described the decision of party leaders on the choice of Hon Sylvester Oromoni as a wise one.

A motion in Support of the Candidature of CHIEF SYLVESTER OROMONI was raised by Pastor Akemetubo and was equally seconded by HON Frank Pukon Miebi, which was unanimously adopted others members of the party.

On his part, Oromoni express gratitude for the confidence the party placed on him and promised to work in synergy with the More Agenda of Governor Oborevwori, and never to disappoint them when voted into power.
