Elizabeth Onuwaje, also known as Lizzy Gold, was born on October 16, 1987, in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. She is from the Itsekiri tribe and was raised in a Christian family with four siblings. Lizzy Gold’s parents are Mr. Johnson Mele Onuwaje and Mrs. Onuwaje.

Her father died on Boxing Day, December 26, 2025, but her mother, Mrs. Onuwaje, is still alive and works as a gospel minister.

Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold Onuwaje bid her father a final farewell on Saturday, February 7, in Warri, Delta State.
