LP Endorses Peter Obi For 2027 Presidential Election

  • LP has endorsed Peter Obi, its 2023 presidential candidate, to run again in the 2027 general election.

  • The party expressed confidence that Obi will unseat President Bola Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential election.

  • The Labour Party reiterated its commitment to democratic means, aiming to unseat the APC through the ballot box, with Obi as its front-runner.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Labour Party (LP) has endorsed Peter Obi, its 2023 presidential candidate, to run again in the 2027 general election.

The party also endorsed Governor Alex Otti of Abia State’s re-election bid and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour as its flag bearer in Lagos State.

According to the National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, many Nigerians, especially youths, are yearning for Obi due to President Tinubu’s policies, which are not favourable to the masses.

Arabambi stated, “Our major focus is getting the APC out of office only through the ballot box if Nigerians so desire, and not through illegitimate means.”

The Labour Party expressed confidence that Obi will unseat President Tinubu-led APC in the 2027 presidential election.

Arabambi reiterated the party’s determination to support Governor Otti’s re-election bid in Abia and Rhodes-Vivour’s gubernatorial candidate in Lagos.

“We are united in our resolve to bring about a better Nigeria under the leadership of Peter Obi,” he said.

The Labour Party (LP) has denied allegations by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar that the All Progressives Congress (APC) paid opposition parties N50 million to instigate crisis.

Atiku had made the claim while speaking at a national conference on strengthening democracy held in Abuja.
