Spain manager Luis de la Fuente emphasized that there are no clear favorites heading into the Euro 2024 final against England this Sunday.
Despite widespread perceptions favoring La Roja over the Three Lions, Luis de la Fuente stressed the match would be closely contested.
“We understand that tomorrow there are no favorites. It’s a very evenly matched game, similar to our previous encounters,” de la Fuente stated.
He added, “We leave the favorites to the pundits and betting circles, but we know that unless we perform at our highest level, maintain our focus, and avoid mistakes, winning won’t be possible. However, I have full confidence in my team. We’re enthusiastic and fully focused on winning, while also showing maximum respect to our opponents.”
