At Anfield, Díaz won the Premier League, FA Cup and two League Cups, contributing 17 goals (13 in the league) and eight assists as Liverpool clinched their 20th English title.
This fee ranks as Bayern’s third-largest ever, behind only Harry Kane (€95 m) and Lucas Hernandez (€80 m).
“We have added one of the Premier League’s finest left-wingers,” – said CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.
Díaz sounded eager: “It means a lot to me to be part of FC Bayern. My goal is to win every possible title, and that’s what we’ll work for every day as a team.”
He also vowed to “treasure forever” his time at Liverpool.
The Bavarians needed firepower following Jamal Musiala’s serious injury and the departures of Leroy Sané andThomas Müller.
Díaz’s pace and scoring touch should slot straight into Vincent Kompany’s system.
Internationally, Díaz has scored 18 goals in 64 Colombia caps since his 2018 debut.
